About iDe

 

As a Designer, Karen has over 25+ years design experience; in both commercial and residential interiors. After graduating and receiving her BAA in Interior Design/Industrial Technology; she started her design career working for two well-known major retail companies such as: Meijer Inc; worked at their corporate office facility (in Grand Rapids MI) and then  

Marshall Fields; in their commercial division which was located in the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. Karen designed in-house office spaces for Meijer Inc as a Space Planner & Interior Designer. Karen was also a Space Planner/Interior Designer for Marshall Fields; designing commercial office spaces plus various commercial interiors in and around Chicago. Karen has a well-diversified background in the following areas of design: Space-Planning, Drafting, Floor Plans, Sales/Board Presentations, Contracts, Consultations, Makeovers, Rental Companies, Purchasing of Furnishings and Inventory.        

 

iDe has a small warehouose of select pieces and accessories that can be rented (or purchased) to clients if desired or interested. iDe also has unlimited access to many other rental companies, furniture companies, retail stores and online furniture sites.

 

While raising her family the past several yrs, Karen was able to focus on them and still do free-lance design work (residential & commercial) for clients in need of a designer. .

 

In 2011, Karen discovered her talent for Homestaging and earned her "Certification"       from Debra Gould; of Six Elements LLC- (Staging Diva) and decided at that point to start her own company providing BOTH Interior Design & Homestaging services. With that combination, plus Karen's creative eye and ability to visualize successful end results; her company (iDe) can offer a very comprehensive package to potential clients, homeowners/ sellers, RE agents, builders & developers. 

iDe believes in the "wow" factor, whether   designing or homestaging....."You absolutely need to "wow" the buyer/client the minute they walk through the front door!" Karen does this for each and every client. iDe uses its "key" concepts to: design, create & innovate-    providing an iDeal asthetic environment.
